From My House to Yours

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Merry Christmas!  It was a gray day in the Big Rip. Snowflakes fell but they didn't amount to anything. Just floating in the wind and dissipating before they hit the ground.  Nashville got snow; however,  Mississippi looks like a winter wonderland.  What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

Spent the day doing absolutely nothing. And felt fine about it. See, after a week of cashiering nonstop, the lower back and the right shoulder were on fire.  Found some super duper pain killers left over from the trip to the dentist and knocked out.  Figured both needed complete rest. There's plenty of time to be up and about

Tried to finish putting up the tree.  I did say that I would have it up this year, right? Wrong.  Finished assembling it but couldn't find the third plug to make the whole thing light up.  But it is standing.  I hate fake trees. And, the thought of decorating it only to take the baubles off and rebox them was more than I wanted to deal with. Not that I am the world's best tree decorator.  I remember a year in the condo when the tree looked so bad until my gay neighbors came to work their magic. They were definitely in the wrong business.  Their trees were always works of art.  Did manage to get the small trees positioned in the foyer.  Nope, they didn't get outside.  If passer-bys couldn't see their twinkle from the street...too bad.  I am enjoying them. Maybe next year.

Hoping that your Christmas day was an enjoyable one and that you remembered the reason for the season.  Be Safe. Be Blessed.
