Be Still

"It's summertime and the time is right for dancing in the streets." Hallelujah, I'm dancing! And giving praise to Him from whom all blessings flow! Hallelujah! Say hello to the new Training Coordinator for the Ripley, TN store.

"Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;" Psalms 37:7a
Now you know that I am not a patient person. The phone didn't ring with an offer from the corrections facility and my employers weren't saying a thing. I vacillated between asking what was their decision and trying to force their hand by letting them know that I was being considered somewhere else. In the end, I did nothing. Thank you, Jesus, for stilling my tongue.

I was called into the office this evening and told that I had the position. The manager "claimed" that he had paged me several times last night to let me know. The sound system must have had a malfunction when he used it. I may have appeared to be calm, cool, and collected on the outside but on the inside...I was doing flips.

Now before you go berserk with joy, I hear the shouts, it is not a full time position. There is an increase, small, but it will add to the bring home pay. Not greatly but just a little breathing room. Thank you. Thank you. Thank YOU.

See, the Lord knows that I have NO business driving these country roads in the dark. Several months ago, my realtor said that I was where the Lord wanted me to be. Since I was determined to live in Memphis and am living in Ripley, she just might have a point. It's clear that I am not destined, at this time, to make use of all of my skills and experience. Be still...when He closes a door, He opens a window.

I'm dancing!
